I’ve recently joined a company and am responsible for managing their WordPress website, which is built using Elementor and Elementor Pro, along with several other plugins. However, I have no experience with WordPress and come from a React development background. The website is a simple landing page, but it keeps crashing frequently. The WordPress admin dashboard often refuses to load, and I keep encountering the White Screen of Death (WSOD) and HTTP 500 internal server errors.
I’ve been trying to load backups and reinstall plugins, but the problem keeps reoccurring. The site crashes at random, and I have trouble making any changes because the admin panel often gets stuck on infinite loading or throws errors.
My question is:
Are WordPress sites prone to this level of instability, or could it be an issue with the way the website was set up?
What steps can I take to identify and fix the root cause of these constant crashes and errors?
